Our Treatment Model

EFSI believe in working closely with the community to make a positive difference in the years ahead.  Our approach is to use both scientific and common sense methods to address the underlying issues preventing clients from stabilizing and growing.

We also recognize incorporate and respect, cultural differences in our treatment approach.  This sometimes calls for the recognition of spirituality in a client’s life and in the treatment approach that is used.  This is in keeping with our wholistic approach to counseling and therapy.

Traumatic Brain Injury

The Traumatic Brain Injury Program is designed to assist families in need of in home services for their loved ones.  There are over 25,000 people who suffer some type of devastating brain injury in Illinois each year.  Many of these people experience a life long disability requiring a tremendous support from friends and family members.  Our program is designed to assist family members to care for their loved ones.  The services to the family are free in most cases.  Our goal is to prevent nursing home care for the brain injured person.
